"SPRING THINGS" 2

Hope we are all surviving our

individual states of quarantine…

As promised, I’m continuing this week with part 2 of SPRING THINGS.  The first edition of SPRING THINGS focused on Spring cleaning in a physical sense: moving, scrubbing, sorting, organizing, etc…so this week we will focus on Spring cleaning for the soul, with journal exercises!

As our relationship with the season changes, let’s take time (because you more than likely have a bit more of that right now) to evaluate the relationships that dictate our lives. I have cultivated day by day prompts to answer on your own. Hopefully the process will help you sort through negative areas and investigate solutions.

Set aside about 30 minutes each day to work on these….

Day 1:

Relationship to SPACE

This can be oriented to workspace, living space, and/or actual

orientation in the world...

  1. What do you enjoy about the space you exist in?

  2. Why do you think you enjoy this or these attribute(s)?

  3. What is bothersome or negative about the space you exist in?

  4. Answer one or both of these questions below…

How do you think you could improve the current situation? (and/or)

What actions could you take or what additions could you make to improve the space?

  5. Are there elements of your space that you could rearrange or discard to make it a happier space?

Day 2:

Relationship to OTHERS

Pick one specific person to

highlight, can be redone multiple times if desired...

  1. Describe what you like about this person

  2. Describe what you dislike about this person

  3. What does this person value/need in a relationship and what do you value/need?

  4. Do you think you fulfill this person’s needs and are you fulfilling theirs/have the capability to fulfill theirs? (If so, why?)

  5. What do you think will strengthen this relationship and what do you think could weaken it?

Day 3:

Relationship to BODY

If you are unfamiliar with the term, I’ve linked my blog for

self-care newbies here

  1. What is your personal definition of Self-Care?

  2. List your favorite forms of Self-Care.

  3. How could you implement or have you implemented these forms into your daily routine?

  4. What revelations/benefits have come out of making time to practice Self-Care? (or) What do you wish to gain out of making time to practice Self-Care?

  5. Could you listen to your body better? How so?

Day 4:

Relationship to the UNFULFILLED

Long story short, aspects of our life, dreams, or projects left

unfinished or only lightly pursued.

For reference, click

“unfulfilled” above.

  1. What is preventing you from doing one specific thing you really want to do?

  2. Evaluate the legitimacy of your excuse. If it is legitimate, what can you control?

  3. Pinpoint the why: Identify 5 strong key reasons why this UNFULFILLED is important.

  4. Make a list of people who could potentially help you in this journey or put you in touch with someone who could.

  5. What is one thing you could be doing every day (perhaps something beyond what you are already doing) that helps you move closer to peace.

Day 5:

Relationship to RENEWAL

  1. What relationship will you actively work on during Spring?

  2. How do you envision yourself, going into Summer?

  3. What other relationships in your life (other than the ones you journaled about) could be strengthened and renewed in future months?

  4. What makes you excited about seasonal change?

  5. What will you take away from this day to day journaling challenge?

Stay tuned for the last week of SPRING THINGS, and potentially a FREE workshop to follow!

With gratitude,

Christina
